Derek Yates, a Los Angeles-based SAG-AFTRA actor

Hailing from Chattanooga, TN, he began his career in the Southeast after signing with The Jana VanDyke Agency (still represented since 2012) where he gained much experience and was able to get the needed credits to join SAG-AFTRA before moving to Los Angeles in 2016.

Fast forward, and he’s now managed by Austin Goldman and represented in LA by The Acting Group with several credits under his belt of various sorts to include: Minx (previously) on Max, How I Met Your Father on Hulu, The Rookie: Feds on ABC, and many others. The guest recurring role he is currently filming that releases in Summer 2024 will be announced shortly.

Outside of acting, he enjoys working out, pickleball, and game nights with friends.
